Helping people trust Jesus and His Church
“Organized religion’s” trust levels are only a few percentage points higher than our politicians. This is a grave problem for the church. This statistic is telling: the majority of Americans, over three quarters of them, view religion with a similar suspicion as our politicians, which are often associated with incredible self-interest and pettiness.

It seems like most people who read AND comment on this post agree. It's great that many organizations are now offering free training (reclaiming the mind, blue letter bible institute, just to name a couple). I personally agree that much of the training ought to happen within the Church. The only problem I see with that is the perceived exclusiveness by those outside the Church.(e.g., "Why should I listen to you? You didn't even go to a real university!")
In spite of this, I still approve of "in-house" training. Northern Hills Christian Church does a great job on this by providing apologetic teachings (the Truth Project), philosophy training, and some other avenues. I think Sproul does well at this also.
Thanks for the post!
